This safety plan is a guide to help you protect yourself and get help safely. You can use this plan if you are scared about being made to get married, scared about refusing a marriage or scared to leave a marriage that you never agreed to.

13 May 2020... Victoria Police has launched a suite of videos in multiple languages to encourage people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities to seek help if they are experiencing family violence.

31 Jan 2025... Translated fact sheets with helpful information about flexible options for parents taking time off work to care for a newborn or recently adopted child, including: how to use Parental Leave Pay (PLP) and share days choosing or changing PLP days after PLP has been granted working while getting PLP. The English version is available at the end of each translated resource.

31 Jan 2019... The 'Family Violence: Technical Terms Bilingual Tool' is in a Language other than English (LOTE) and English side-by-side. It is designed to help communication when working with interpreters to talk about family violence.  The Family Violence: Technical Terms Bilingual Tool, lists and explains: Courts and services: their names, hours and web addresses Technical terms: and what they mean Police roles: what they do. Each service, term and definition is listed in a Languages other than English (LOTE) and English side by side, so they can be pointed to or circled when explaining the family violence service system.
