Typhoid
This is a fact sheet about typhoid, a disease caused by infection with bacteria called Salmonella Typhi. In Australia, most typhoid infections are acquired overseas and occur after eating contaminated food or water in countries where typhoid is common. It includes information on how the disease is spread, its prevention, and treatment.
