Fire danger ratings (animated video)
This translated animated video is produced by the Country Fire Authority for people in Victoria.
This video explains why Fire Danger Ratings (FDRs) are important and how to use them to prepare for bushfires in Victoria. It describes the four ratings: Moderate, High, Extreme and Catastrophic, and explains what each means for fire danger and personal safety. It advises people who live, work or travel in bushfire risk areas to check their local Fire Danger Rating daily, monitor warnings and leave early for a safer location when conditions are Catastrophic.
