Depression is a medical illness that can have serious effects on physical and mental health. The symptoms of depression include: Feeling sad most of the day, nearly every day, Loss of interest in activities that you used to enjoy, Lack of energy, Changes in sleep habits, Changes in appetite, Changes in sex drive. If you experience any of these symptoms for most of the day for at least two weeks, then you may have depression.
