Can I cook outdoors?
These translated videos are developed by the Country Fire Authority for the state of Victoria.
These resources explain the rules for cooking outdoors during a Fire Danger Period or on a Total Fire Ban day in Victoria. During a Fire Danger Period, outdoor cooking is only allowed when it is not windy, the area around and above the cooking equipment is clear, and someone stays with it at all times. You must have water available and fully put out the cooker before leaving. On a Total Fire Ban day, cooking with heat beads or wood is not allowed.
