This book is about disability advocacy. Disability advocacy means you get help from a trusted person to get your message across, have your needs met, and understand information. You can ask a family member, a friend, a support worker, or an advocate from an advocacy organisation to be your advocate. An advocate can help you take part in phone calls, meetings, and can help you make a complaint.
