That’s why joint pain can be a “wake-up call” to improve both joint health and heart health. Most heart problems happen because risk factors such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure are not treated or are under-treated. Because these risk factors don’t cause any symptoms, people may not realise they have them until they have a heart attack or a stroke. So, if you have joint pain, this can be a good reminder to have a health check. Talk to your doctor about your general health and ask for any recommended tests to check your heart health.
